Deanna attended St Hilda’s as a boarder from the beginning of her fifth form year until finishing in 2000. She went on to Otago University to study Sciences and then moved to Australia to study for another 4 years full time to complete a Bachelor of Health Sciences, specialising in Nutrition and Naturopathy. She stayed in Australia for another two years working as a Naturopath in a pharmacy while also tutoring at the student clinic and relief lecturing at Endeavour of Natural Health, where she studied.
In 2009 she moved back to Dunedin and set up her business as a Naturopath. Initially, she worked part time in the Health 2000 while she established a client base. Over the past 9 years she has seen hundreds of clients between her main clinic in Dunedin, and in Balclutha and Gore. Her focus is on Wellness, but covers a range of issues including fatigue, weight and stress management, hormonal support and other related issues. She works in a complementary manner alongside other health professionals. Deanna writes a monthly health article in the Otago Daily Times and does regular health chats on More FM and The Breeze radio stations. Deanna and her partner have a gorgeous baby boy who was born in September 2016 so she is currently only working on a Saturday morning out of Kinetic Health, a multi-modality clinic on Princes St, Dunedin.
